The series of limited edition prints is created by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen, architect, art director and photographer based in Copenhagen. Jonas shares his passion for phenomenology—the philosophical study of human experience— with clients that range from established design brands to international magazines. Trained at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Jonas mixes his spatial sensibility and understanding of shape with conceptual thoughts and visions that bring creative projects to life.
About the series: The photography addresses nature’s imperfection as an expression of old and new, of purity and impermanence. It is guided by its inherent sense of harmony in a celebration of it. Images depict bodies and spaces: bodies measuring their surroundings, their spatial properties, their materiality, and their scale and distance. From eyes to skin and muscles, they perceive and understand surroundings on a multisensory level while spaces emerge as living voids defined by their additions and deductions: The unseen matter and shapeless absence surrounding defined objects.
